Ethanol is here to stay?
Ethanol has long been promoted by agriculture as an alternative to petroleum and the dynamics finally seem right for this to happen. Numerous ethanol plants are popping up all over the country side. In my area alone there have been 4 -5 proposed. Numerous questions are being asked as the number of these plants grow; what is the impact on the food industry? How will this affect the water supply? What happens with the by-products? Will the livestock industry grow as a result of the need to utilize distillers dry grain (DDG)?
