I attended the Aumann Thanksgiving tractor auction today that was held at the Christian County Fairgrounds in Taylorville, Illinois. There was approximately 250 tractors that were sold through the main ring and a huge amount of other equipment sold through a second ring. This truly had to be one of the premier auctions in the country. There were quite a few rare tractors, with some imported from Argentina that had been used in vegetable crop farms in South America.
The Aumann's run an extremely professional auction. It was well organized and tractors were sold in a very logical order. They provided everyone with a sale bill that listed the lot numbers and a description of the tractors. This was extremely useful to keep track of what was being sold.
RFD-TV was in attendance to film the auction and I presume show at a later date.
We bought two Massey tractors. One was a Massey 81, pictured below and the other was listed as a 101, but we talked with someone who thought it was actually a Massey 20.
